As a result of the inspection campaigns to implement the Environmental Protection Law. The Public Authority for the Environment, in cooperation with the Environmental Police, conducted an open campaign on Failaka Island. The campaign resulted in issuing a single violation for lighting and fishing using equipment. Many prohibited nets for catching birds were also monitored, which were confiscated.
